  one two three four five six seven eight nine ten Glad you stopped in today, we had a recent trip to New York, trying to get away from the heat of summer, during late June 2024. Apparently the whole east coast was dealing with a real heat wave, BIG OOPIES, on that, normally we go north and can hide out in the shade and love the weather they have during that season of the year. Didn't work this time, oh well, maybe next year. Sorry for the photo being all out of order, if i could figure how to keep Google from not getting them all mixed up, so i decided to number them. #7 and #10 are the bridge from the movie "It's A Wonderful Life", Seneca Falls, New York. "museum" : The museum is located on: 76 Fall Street, opens 11 AM. "Local Bedford Falls nostalgia attraction with displays & memorabilia from the namesake film." #9 is Taughannock Falls, #8 (as well as 3, 2, and 1 are in that same walking path area, before the huge waterfall can be seen, if y...

"Saint Michael's Boat Show, Maryland" "history of Saint Michael's area" June 14-16, 2024 on Father's Day weekend, my husband and his friends went to this get together. Yes, Beth can appreciate boats but I was lucky enough to help out my parents (I went to a retirement party, walking and helped mom go through items that needed to go to the thrift stores and such.) and did what I preferred doing instead. LOL! Lots old woodies, food and fun. You could have taken a short boat ride on an antique passenger boat with your purchase of the ticket as well viewed the museum. Hey there, thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Take Care. Be Well. Beth ( ;

  "top secret WWII government program in which the US rushed to develop and deploy the world's first atomic weapons before Nazi Germany ..." "The Manhattan Project took shape at 3 primary locations across the country: Hanford, Washington, Los Alamos, New Mexico and Oak Ridge, Tennessee." "A massive industrial complex was built at Oak Ridge, TN, to enrich uranium and eventually serve as the headquarters of the nationwide project. Three separate uranium enrichment technologies were pursued in parallel. A pilot reactor and chemical separation plant were also constructed at Oak Ridge to produce a limited amount of plutonium." Hi there. I must say that the hubby was more thrilled by this trip than me.   "Prater's Creek Bridge (plague by the bridge) Built by the Greenville Steel & Foundry Company in 1930, this bridge served the people of Pickens County for over seventy years at two locations. It was originally installed over the Twelve Mile River on Wolf Creek Road and moved in the late 1900's to Praters Creek on Morning Side Drive. Brought here in 2007, the bridge was cleaned by volunteers, painted by county inmates and installed by Pickens County Roads & Bridges in 2009. Steel bridges like this were common all across the county in the last century but were gradually replaced because they were too narrow for two cars to pass each other."
